The HERO Veteran program exists to serve the men and women who served the United States of America —
equipping them with cutting-edge holistic therapy for mental health, chronic pain, and substance abuse disorders,
while guiding them through the systems that deliver real medical care and disability benefits they've already earned.
The Crisis We're Fighting
Serious mental health issues are not only triggered by traumatic experiences, but also by chronic pain —
an epidemic that has persisted for decades. With naturally occurring substances gaining clinical recognition,
we are finally able to wage war on the worst symptoms plaguing veterans and humankind at large.

Phase 1 is open exclusively to veterans struggling with one or more of:
PTSD, Chronic Pain, Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Anxiety & Trauma, or Substance Abuse Disorders.
The 6-Month Protocol
Each participant receives a personalized combination of evidence-based treatments
delivered digitally and through local chapters.
There is no cost to participants — the program is funded through grants and donations.
Targeted SupplementationScience-backed nutrients and botanicals to support pain relief, mood, and cognition.
Holistic TherapiesMassage, acupuncture, breathwork, and mindfulness practices tailored to each veteran.
Peer SupportVeteran-to-veteran connection and group sessions facilitated by trained peers.
Clinician OversightMedical supervision throughout, with drug-interaction screening and safety protocols.
Weekend RetreatsOptional monthly retreats with nature immersion, meals, live music, and guided therapy.

Founded by John Kavanagh, a veteran dedicated to proving that natural, holistic healing
works — and making it available to every veteran who needs it.
HERO Health operates as a nonprofit-aligned program funded entirely through grants and donations.
Participants never pay for the program. Our clinicians volunteer their expertise because they believe
in the mission.
